Treasure Coast Hurricane Boat Prep Checklist

Hurricane season runs June 1 - November 30. If you wait until the cone is on you, the haul-out yards are full. Here's how to think about storm prep on the Treasure Coast.

Tier 1 β Tropical Storm watch
- Strip canvas, towers, and loose gear
- Pull batteries out of small boats
- Add extra dock lines, double-up at chafe points
- Top off fuel β empty tanks condense water
Tier 2 β Hurricane watch (Cat 1-2 forecast)
- Pull and trailer if you can
- If wet-slipped: cross lines, fenders, monitor
- Bring all electronics inside
- Photograph the boat for insurance
Tier 3 β Major hurricane (Cat 3+)
- Get it off the water. Wet slips don't survive a 3.
- Reserve hurricane storage and blocking with us EARLY
- Strap to dedicated hurricane tie-down points
- Check insurance hurricane plan / haul-out reimbursement
